New Partnerships Program

New Partnerships is a volunteer committee, formed through the St. Johns Farmers Market, that will be expanding the program of providing food assistance to our low-income neighbors, encouraging them to participate in their local farmers market and partake in a healthy lifestyle.

We are now adding food-related education and outreach through our area public schools and their after-school SUN programs. Our goal is to create relationships with 350 and encourage them to participate in the 2010 market by learning, socializing, volunteering, shopping and relaxing. We will continue to offer $5 in wooden market tokens each week, redeemable as cash at our market, so that healthy food will be more accessible to those on restricted incomes. New Partnerships is also committed to mutually beneficial projects that offer internships and experience to Roosevelt High School students.

Stay tuned for progress reports on our exciting developments!
